You can make it as hard or as easy as you want, as long as the end goal is something worth searching for. You can truly flex your puzzle master muscles by turning it into a scavenger hunt where the end goal is finding a particular item hiding in plain sight. Give out clues using the chat function, then watch your best pals betray each other in the hopes of capturing the prize. In fact, you may want to stock up on DIY Wooden Signs for all of your newly discovered caves, coves, and secret entrances.

While real pirates would never be caught dead leaving doubloons scattered on the ground, you can spare a few bells to stand in for gold coins on the shoreline. Use rustic-looking wooden plank paths for trekking your way across the hot sand, then drop your loot along the way. I mentioned earlier that Gullivarr offers a range of ensembles , but you can mix it up with the seemingly infinite designs perfect for a professional pirate. That's all. I don't have a crew or a flag. But I'm a friendly sort, and I like to joke around and I lubbbbbb to drink.

If you're looking for me, check to see if there's a drinking tournament going on. As Dorel would say, I can be found 'wherever the rum be'. I'm taking a break from the game right now, so I am what you would call a 'forum tart' -- someone who, for whatever reason, isn't playing the game right now, but can still be found on the forums. We lub the community, and we cannae stay away, so we hang around the forums, writing silly posts in Shore Leave and elsewhere. If you do see me ingame in the future probably at an inn , introduce yerself.

I can offer advice, teach you how to drink, and, if ye catch me at the right time, I just might sing a forgotten pirate tune for ye! The last word in life form destruction! To gain an intimate knowledge of our engines of war, simply place both hands over your eyes and count to three.

I post as Blackguard now. I'm Twisty of the Maritime Law flag. Remember: Greenies can't wear all of the clothes until they subscribe so ask before you buy!

This forum section needs some greenies, and not just a bunch of posts by people who like me see a new forum section and think they have to post there. I'm Solos in game. I'm apparently pretty bitter in the forums but I'm a lot more casual if you catch me sailing the Midnight seas. Come find me in game if you are ever up for crossing swords or drinking some rum. I'm also having fun reading these introductions, greenies or not, and I'm of the opinion that this forum should be moved to the top of the forum list.

PS: Hailarnold is right, his jokes really are bad! More swords now thx. Harr, I be Vlada and We be the Fury!! Nuff said!! Vlada, Officer of the Rudder Royals, Azure.

Ahoy, thar! I be Greasy , one of these dastardly pirates, not that I do much pirating, or any very dastardly activities. I mod the Bazaar forum along with Fronsac - feel free to pop in there to buy or sell goods make sure to read the rules! Good luck with not getting as addicted as I am. I'm Fujiko. Um, I like answering questions, so feel free to ask me if you have any. WTB: Mako ships, penguins, Neerie's prize-winning egg a card suits one, more of Greylady's sixth prize-winning eggs the penguin one.

I'm Stevedave. I like to pillage and pluner and tell people that I like them. I'm ocasionally knowledgeable and can be seen wandering around Alpha and Cnossos stalking people that I like. I'm not very good at this stalking thing as my outfit sticks out like a sore thumb. Check me out:. Ahoy, new mates! When I raised my head above the surface of the waters, the captain christened me Reverie, and told me to bilge. After a little time and more than a few crabs , I made me way to House Atreides, under the flag of the Knights of the Republic.

Rose up through the ranks to become a Senior Officer all the pay, none of the butt-kissin'. Howdy mates! I'm Jainasolo, the goofy Jedi. If you ever have any questions game related or just feel like chatterin up a storm, you can usually find me sittin on the Guava docks. Ahoy and welcome aboard new mates! The name is Klank of the Annihilating Accipiters. I am always on the forums, even though I may not post a whole lot. You can PM me here or send a tell to Klank in game with any questions you have, or if you just want to sail.

Anything you say can and will be misquoted, then used against you. My name is Pippy. I started sailing these waters in search of my pirate father, many moons ago. Along the way, I've made lots of friends and have had tons of fun. I pillage and trade with the Duckies crew, a great group of mates. Every day is a new adventure from foraging distant seas, fighting skellies, pillaging on our war brigs or trading commodities and supplying our flag's shoppes.

Throw in a tourney or two and the day is complete. Welcome to our ocean and have some fun yourself! I can usually be found at the inns as I'm very fond of drinkin' and fightin'. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. I am Melesse, Captain of the fabulous crew, Wings of Aesthir.

I am also a massive docktart and spend way too much time standing on the Turtle Island docks chatting about anything I can think of. So if you're looking for some chatter and a few questions answered come on down! I am completely addicted to this game, and wish the same to any greenie fortunate enough to wash ashore. Ahoy there green pirates! Welcome aboard! I am Peter Pan as ye can see! In game it is written as Peterpan. I am glad to help if I can and answer the questions ye have!

Just some chit-chat is fine by me too! I like best: the diversity and depth of the game, the social aspects and developing your character getting better, more experienced etc. Hope ye likes it too as I do I am Snowcrasher I done be a pirate for all of about 2. Normally ye can find me on Epsilon or Tinga I be very green compared to most of the scurvy dogs that have posted thus far. I learned most of the game by trial and error lots of error but I know that's not always the best course of action.

Thus, I'm always willing to help ye with any questions ye may have. I'm usually somewhere on Turtle Island but I do hop around checking markets and such. If'n ye see me, feel free to say ahoy! I'm afraid, however, that I cannot usually accept challenges due to being at work.

Edit: Often I get asked how I got me eyepatch. You might also notice scallywags sauntering about with peglegs or hooks instead of hands.

These injuries can only be obtained by being on a ship when it is sunk. If'n this tragic event occurs, you have a small chance of having an injury to show fer it. Oorlian wrote:. Often I get asked how I got me eyepatch. Ahoy, yon greenies! I be Spoom, captain of ye Monkey Hunters. Though in all honesty, the pirates above me be quite a bit more famous than I. Still, if ye have a question or two, give me a tell. Just don't beg. Begging is bad, mmmkay? This game takes a while to get used to, but once you find the right crew, it becomes a LOT more enjoyable.

That's the advice that I give ye: find a crew, don't just sail around on navy vessels through your trial. Katattacksme wrote:. My name is Zarn, First-Mate of the Duckies, and welcome to the world of the puzzling pirates some more puzzling than others Wether you're young or old the game has much to offer in friends and entertainment.

Just join in the fun and look up some of the people that have posted here and you'll soon find hours of fun as you explore a new online world that you can help build with the friends you'll make. I am Lilalee, senior officer of Ye Hardy Mates. Like many crews we like to take new players out and teach them the ropes.

Yarr, I be Bosunpete, 2nd mate of the Privateers. Ask me questions and I'll answer to the best of me ability. Yes Dorel is a nutcase, but we put up with him anyways. I am found floating around in Emerald or my new home of Park island in Coral. I am a cesspool of nautical history and knowledge, plus I do halfway decent in YPP. Have fun! That stuff! I be Captain Robbinson, sailing through the blue waters of Midnight doing, nothing really.

All o' us in the ocean, we gladly'll help you, we were all new once. Advice I was given I'm Captain Sapheri of the School of Hardknocks. If ye see me wandering around Spring, do send a tell and say hello or do come visit my circle! I'm a jack-of-all trades sort. I dabble in a bit of everything and can help ye find yer way around the different aspects of the piratey world.

Just stick out yer tongue when ye see me ; Sapheri Wow, good reading in this thread! Tis one o the reasons I keep on pluggin away at the puzzles I be Faile, Cap'n of the Falcon's Fury, and one o' the older mates on the seas.

I be thar fer yer question-askin', though there be a few thangs I cannae answer. Me crew don't do no tradin, if'n we c'n help it a'tall, so I cannae answer questions 'bout that kind o' stuff. But if'n ye have a question I cannae answer, I'll be sure 'n find someone who can! Welcome to our world mates! Tis a mite crazy hereabouts, but its all good, aye? We be the FURY! Just point me to what you want dead, an' I'll kill it.

Or die trying! If you're wondering how a bunch of Mutineers can be a crew I've been playing this game for just over a year, though lately I spend more time on these forums. The best bit of advice I can give you that hasn't already been said by other fine pirates is: before you challenge someone to a swordfight on the docks, it's considered polite in these parts to at least say "hello".

If you just want to practice your fighting or drinking, and not a lot of talk, seek out the non-player pirates with two white names like Grimy York or Curious Beth and challenge them instead. They can be found standing around the island, especially in the Inn. Scarab here. Glad to see you've decided to spend your time with us. Regardless of what anyone else might tell you, I'm a decent guy who tells it like it is, even if people don't like hearing it sometimes.

Anyhow, if there's anything you need, seek out your hook-handed friend! I be one of the older ones in gameboth as a pirate and in RL.

Either way, if I can't help, I'll find someone who can! Welcome to our piratey world! What be all this? I were expectin' ter see pages o' new mates introducin' themselves, an' instead it be naught but the usual suspects! Ah, well -- if ye cain't beat 'em, join 'em! Ye'll find me pokin' around these boards from time to time, making quick useless comments or long, involved arguments. Some say I use too many semicolons; I say they're fulla bilge!

Often I jest post links ter old arguments that seem to keep coming up. An' sometimes I'll add a humble entry in a song or poetry thread, jes' to prove I still have a heart. Mostly, ye'll find me up in the Ruby Archipelago that's Up North, if'n ye're not up on all yer navigatin' yet , tryin' ter keep me crew from sinkin' me fleet, and tryin' ter keep Jorvik Island from sinkin' into the ocean.

Come say 'Ahoy' if ye see me around; I ain't half so grumpy or long-winded in person as I am 'round here, no matter what me officers tell ye! So here's a hearty "Welcome Aboard" ter all o' ye newcomers! I do hope we'll all see ye ravagin' the sea lanes fer many months t'come! Ye have received a trade request from Thunderbird. Those two offers are identical, what's the point?

Ahoy ahoy greenies everywhere! Want to welcome ye all to the Midnight Ocean and hope to see each of ye on the seas one day! If you're looking for a fun time, drop by Oyster Island in the Diamond Archipelago, there's usually some nuttiness going on in the Inn or on the docks or even around our legendary rubble! Don't forget to seek out Aine, our fine Queen, and ask her if she's an orange! And if ye'd like a sail, find Obie, because he's most likely out sailing his heart out.

If ye'd like to learn the ropes of puzzling while having fun, seek me or Obie out and we'll be more than happy to offer you a place in Western Windwalkers, our training crew.

Good earnings, good fun, and if ye like us enough once ye feel you've got some sea legs, we'd love to have you aboard. But most importantly have fun, stay safe, sharpen your sword daily, and please be kind to the wildlife! I am Rome. If you find your way to the notice board in the late night hours, you might just find yourself aboard my ship, as The Damned don't sleep. I don't care what it did to them, the game's been good to me. My name be Aiziril, and I've been around the piratey block a few times.

Nowadays you'll generally find me hanging about Xi island where my home is, and if yer down that way and have a question about er Or point you at someone who can, if I can't. If you catch me on the docks I'm likely to be willing to swordfight or drink you under the table, if you feel like a challenge. Aiziril on Midnight. Bored on all oceans. I'm Hi all, I'm Frisby. I'm eagerly awaiting the 12th of September that's when my Mommy is buying me a subscription for my belated birthday.

I'm interested in becoming an officer, and working up a well trained fleet. I'm looking for a medium sized flag that wants to grow.

I'm not much for talking onboard but I've been enough of a Forum tart to have answered most of my questions about the game. I'm thoroughly hooked. I'm liking all these "I'ms" I'm going to add one more. I'm a grown up but don't tell anyone. Anyway, uhh, ahoy, I'm Matthias. Living proof that you don't have to be king to have fun in this game.

I'm mostly well known for my habit of collecting autographs of significant players, 'significant' being defined as me having heard of them. A good friend of mine pioneered the technique of pillaging without any rum, shot, or indeed playing any puzzles. In fact, two good friends of mine actually gave up being movers and shakers in the ocean. Fun is what you make of it. If you're not having fun, do something fun. You don't have to be the best to have fun. The other point of advice is that a good crew is everything.

Unless you have heaps of real life friends playing as well, you don't want to start your own unless you're confident you can recruit. Having other people to help you out makes things so much easier it's not funny, so make sure you choose a crew that plays at the same times you do. Difficult if you're in the southern hemisphere, as daylight savings does double damage if you sail with a northern hemisphere crew, and that's most of them.

Matt I took my own advice. Ahoy Thar! I be SilverHawk, An' I've played Puzzle Pirates before, months before, me money ran out, an' I had ter leave, now, I be back under the name of SilverHawk instead o' Solair, an' ye'll be seein' quite a lot of me : I took along a group of mates with me I know from different pirate games so prepare ter be boarded, soon : Jjin, [Cobalt, Midnight, Viridian, Hunter] What the hell happened?

I'll introduce myself, I suppose. I'm ramirojr, and only a handful of people know my pirate's name in-game. I remain anonymous and frequent the forums, so if you ever need help searching for a link, past discussion, or possible idea, just let me know.

I check the Need Help Searching? Got a New Suggestion? Ask a Poster! Remember that time we went through the Hall o'Precedents, then refused t'do it again? That Summer were the best. I still can't believe they voted me in! I'm just one of the regular ol' pirates, not like the famous ones you're reading about here. Well, I guess I'm kinda silly I am Hazelsmiles.

I just want to add here that I do not recall voting Folkie as our Queen I think we need to recount the ballots Side note: isnt my boyfriend hot!! That is him in the picture to the left : Hazelsmiles Flirt Ahoy mate! Always happy to answer a question or two! Three questions ye ask? I am no genie! Ahoy ye all :. Dolbabe - the only NON-speller in this world So rare, but suddenly worth all the crap you had to sift through to find it. Ahoy lads and lasses! I be Sheogorath. I have been playing this game for about 6 months now, not the longest playing player around, but I do know me game pretty well by now.

I would be happy to take the time and help ye the best I can. Glad to be here I have signed on with a terrific crew by the recommendation of Lizthegrey.

My nickname there seems to be 'Dead Weasel", which is fine by me. I'm a big fan of the pirate movies too. You see, no one would surrender to the dread pirate Wesley. I hope to get my first pair of boots soon; Boy, are my feet sore! I hope to meet all of you in the game very soon. It is a thrill to be here! Oh, and my avatar is "Weird Al" Yankovic, who some say could be my twin brother.

Re: Glad to be here DreadWesley wrote:. Hello folks. I've been subscribed for a bit now I play Makal, a very very new officer in the Flying Cows.

I'm having an incredibly refreshing time and a large amount of fun here. Working on purchasing my first ship, now that I've got a couple blades and a decent outfit! Style is important, arr! I be obaba, the not so old, Old Lady of Midnight. I tends to be hard to find, but more than happy to share a tale or 2 over a few drinks.
